The Elkford Women's Task Force Society is a charitable, non-profit, that has been providing services to women, children and families in the Elk Valley Since 1991. We are the administration society to programs including Child and Youth Mental Health Outreach Program,  Elk Valley Safe Homes, Elk Valley PEACE Program, Elk Valley HPP Shelter Assistance for Woman, Elkford Play School and the Elkford Early Years Committee

The Elkford Women's Task Force Society offers services to parents and families located in Elkford and area. For more information on the services provided see below.

Child and Youth Mental Health Outreach Program​

Providing services to children and youth under the age of 19, with mild to moderate mental, emotional and behavioral difficulties, their parents and caregivers so they can function to their highest capacity.
The Child & Youth Outreach Program serves the Elk Valley.

HPP Rental Assistance Program
The Elk Valley HPP Rental Assistance Programs assists woman leaving relationship violence. Funded through BC Housing and allows for monthly rental subsidy of market rent housing. The program also assists with one time expenditures related to moving/renting.

Elk Valley Safe Homes
​

BC funded program provides shelter, support, information, referrals, transportation, safety planning, and much more!
Services are for Elk Valley women with or without children experiencing physical, emotional, sexual and/or psychological abuse.

Elkford Early Years
The Elkford Early Years provides free programs to families in Elkford aged 0-8 years old as well as workshops for parents and events. EEY offers a safe & healthy environment for children to learn, play and eat nutritious snacks. Programs offered for different ages, times and places.

Elk Valley PEACE
​

Elk Valley PEACE  supports the emotional and psychological needs of children & youth witnessing violence and raising community awareness.
PEACE is a free program available to children and youth aged 3-18 years old residing in Elk Valley.

Elkford Play School
The Elkford Play School is a fully registered licensed child care program operational September - May each year and is available for children aged 30 months to 5 years. Offering a play based curriculum focusing on engaging child learning in all developmental areas.
